Strictly Come Dancing viewers react to "harsh" Lawrence Robb scores

Translate

Strictly Come Dancing has returned this weekend for movie week and for some of the couples the scores are in, but not all viewers are happy about it.

Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb performed a Viennese Waltz to Le Festin from Ratatouille alongside professional dancer Jowita Przystał - but the judges weren't wholly convinced.

The couple received 19 points, the lowest awarded from Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas

"You are wonderful when you're out of hold," Anton Du Beke began. "All your open work is magnificent. The storytelling is beautiful and I love it. We've got to work on you in hold, I know Jowita is a little bit shorter than you but it shouldn't make a difference."

Then came Horwood's comments, in which he said: "Your hands is what we see the majority of are completely splayed on her back. And you need to be less spatulistic with them, by that I mean you need to shape them, you've got them jutting out, so start concentrating on that."

Viewers immediately shared their thoughts online, with one user saying the duo were "robbed", adding that them being scored a four was "criminal".

"I hope Lawrence and Jowita go through week 3 the judges seem harsh this week," one user wrote.

However some viewers are in agreement with the judges, with one penning: "I give Lawrence and Jowita a 3. This was very light on actual Viennese Waltz for me, unfortunately. Viennese Waltz should be built on natural and reverse turns rather than built around the acting. But I saw attempts to close the feet."
