Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Maintenance in Six Counties on September 24

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity maintenance that will affect parts of Nairobi, Kajiado, Kericho, Narok, Nyeri, Kiambu and Mombasa counties on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

The planned interruptions will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., or 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., depending on the affected area.

Customers in the listed locations have been advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled maintenance.

Nairobi County

In Nairobi, maintenance will affect parts of Kitsuru and Karen.

Part of Kitsuru

The interruption will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Tate Close, Kitsuru Road and Forward Close, alongside adjacent customers.

Part of Karen

The outage will also run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Ololua Close, West Wood Road, Kerapon Road, Mwitu Estate, Mutero PCEA, Mutero Estates, Karen Police Station, Karen Hub, Windy Ridge, Ngong View Estate, Karen Roses, Tree Lane, Shell Petrol Station Karen Shopping Centre, Kerarapon Shell, Eagles Church, Karen Community Church and Total Petrol Station, alongside adjacent customers.

Kajiado County

Maintenance in parts of Kajiado County will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include part of Kajiado Town, Saab Royale, Suguna Farm, Oloosuyian, Referral Road, Showground, Esokota, Osilingi Farm, Kipeto, Jua Kali, East Matt and Urban, alongside adjacent customers.

Kericho County

In Buret, Kericho County, the interruption will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Ngoinaroad Market, Kabartega School, Kaminjeiwet School, Botony School and DC Residence, alongside adjacent customers.

Narok County

Parts of Ololunga and Mulot will experience an electricity interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Affected areas include Ololunga Town, Megenyu Market, Oleshapani Market, Sogam Market, Nkorinkori Market, Lemek Market, Aitong Market, Sogoo Market, Tendwet Market, Kimogoro Market, Mulot Market, Baraka Market, Kipturgut Market, Kutete Market, Olmirani Market, Olchoro Market and Melelo Market, alongside adjacent customers.

Nyeri County

Three areas in Nyeri County are scheduled for maintenance.

Gatarakwa Girls and Bellevue

The outage will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Affected locations include Kabendera Primary School, Kabendera Market, Bellevue Market, Gatarakwa Market and Gatarakwa Girls, alongside adjacent customers.

Chaka and Kihanjo

The interruption will also run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Blue Valley and Witemere

Maintenance will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Several areas in Kiambu County will also experience planned maintenance from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Kimende and Kinale
