Pink Sweat$ on the Music That Keeps Him Moving | Billboard x Planet Fitness

Translate

From soulful melodies to everyday movement, Pink Sweat$ shares how music helps him reset, recharge and show up as his best self. He opens up about finding balance, building confidence and embracing a wellness journey that feels authentic to him—one song and one step at a time. Presented by Planet Fitness.

Pink Sweat$

Hey everybody it’s me Pink Sweat$, I’m here with Artist in Motion in collaboration with Billboard and Planet Fitness. When you’re starting your day, you have to protect those first moments that can decide so much of your energy. I like to get my glass of water, and play a little tune. I like to listen to smooth, chill music in the morning. The role that music plays in my life is it gives me freedom. It gives me the opportunity to express and to leave my stamp on the world. Pink Sweat$, that name comes from I was not doing well in life at all and I only had one pair of pink sweatpants. I bought them on clearance cause that’s all I could afford. I wore those pants literally every day until they literally evaporated. Everywhere I would walk, you could see crumbles of pink sweatpants and someone was like where is Pink Sweat$ and I was like, “I really like that name. If I ever became an artist that would be my name.” Wearing pink for me it’s more like a superhero cape. Pink Sweat$ is the superhero version of me. Moving is proof of me choosing myself. Music is the thing that makes that repetition feel less like a chore.
