Paramount has set a July 16, 2027 release for its Alexandre Aja directed Crawl sequel while Heart Eyes 2 will shift from Feb. 11, 2028 to Feb. 4, 2028.

The follow-up to 2019’s alligator movie Crawl which grossed close to $92M stars Mason Gooding and Emily Rudd in a new survival story against the reptiles. The original movie was set during a hurricane which creates a massive flood — with alligators

Producers are Craig Flores, Sam Raimi and Aja. EPs are Gregory Levasseur, Kevan Van Thompson, Zainab Azizi.

Paramount already had the mid-July date on hold. Crawl 2 will be up against Sony’s Fake Skating and also bows the week after Warner Bros/DC Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow.

The Spyglass co-production, Heart Eyes 2, is now up against Universal’s Murder She Wrote, and has moved away from a Disney event film on Feb. 11. Josh Ruben directs and co-wrote with Darcy Fowler from a story by Christopher Landon and Michael Kennedy. Producers are Landon and Divide/Conquer.
