Coronation Street reveals new family feud for Eva Price in early ITVX episode

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday's episode (5 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.
Coronation Street's Eva Price finds herself in a family feud tonight, after discovering Sam Blakeman was the one who pushed her down the stairs. Still shaken up, Eva tries to keep her distance from her nephew - causing friction with Leanne Battersby.
In last week's episodes, Sam admitted he had accidentally pushed Eva while in a state of panic. He explained that he was looking for his phone in the Rovers, after spending a lot of money on cryptocurrency.

Eva decided not to report him to the police, and his psychiatrist prescribed him some new medication to help stabilise his behaviour. However, Eva turned down Leanne's invitation for a family lunch, later revealing that she didn't want Sam anywhere near her loved ones.
In tonight's episode, Leanne pops in to the pub for a chat with her sister, claiming she just wanted to "check in". Not buying the excuse, Eva pushes her to reveal her true motive.
"Alright, I sensed yesterday that you weren't overly keen on us all meeting up," Leanne says.
Eva denies Leanne's suggestion and says she just doesn't feel "100%" at the moment. But Leanne knows that there's more to the story than she is letting on, and asks if she thinks Sam is "dangerous".
"I think that he's unpredictable, and that's not a personal attack," Eva replies, diplomatically. "I just think we should wait until we get his meds right."

Despite Eva's attempts to defuse the tension, Leanne is furious and asks how she knows about his medication. She correctly assumes Toyah is involved, though Eva assures her she wasn't "bad-mouthing" Sam.
"Leanne, I just need to do what I feel is best for me and my family," Eva declares.
"Right. Even if it makes Sam feel even more guilty and isolated than he already does! Well, what the hell, eh?" Leanne fumes, before storming out.
Later, Leanne angrily confronts Toyah about the situation, telling her that Sam isn't welcome in Eva's family at the moment. Toyah is shocked but insists that Eva is entitled to her feelings.
Leanne explains that she's worried Sam will be perceived badly by others, but Toyah promises she and Nick won't let that happen. Will they be able to put their differences aside to bring their loved ones together?
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
