Weston McKennie is set to become the Juventus player with the most appearances in the current squad when the Bianconeri visit Cagliari this weekend.
According to Corriere dello Sport, via TuttoMercatoWeb, the American is expected to start at the Unipol Domus. That would take him to 234 games for the club, one more than the injured Manuel Locatelli.
Nobody else is close. Daniele Rugani is next on 157, ahead of Federico Gatti (139), Andrea Cambiaso (134), Kenan Yildiz (132) and Gleison Bremer (128). McKennie also shares the squad’s scoring lead with Yildiz, on 27 goals each.

McKennie – Spalletti’s utility man
Signed in 2020 and now under contract until 2030, the Texan has won over every coach he has played under at Juventus, from Massimiliano Allegri and Thiago Motta to Igor Tudor and now Luciano Spalletti.
“He knows every corner of the pitch. He’s a holding midfielder, a midfielder, an attacking midfielder, he plays wherever he likes,” Spalletti said.
He has yet to score this season after a muscle problem kept him out for almost a month, but he has been central to the side since returning against NEC.
Next on the club’s all-time list are Edgar Davids (235), Fabio Capello (239), Wojciech Szczesny (252), Omar Sivori (253) and Stephan Lichtsteiner (258).
