GUA MUSANG, Oct 10 — The Federal Route FT08 along the Gua Musang-Kota Bharu Road, near Taman Rekreasi Kesedar here, has been closed to all vehicles today due to a sinkhole measuring about eight metres deep.

The incident, reported at 9.05am, affected a stretch of about nine metres between Sections 205.556 and 205.564, involving the alignment of Packages 3B and 3C of the Central Spine Road (LTU) project.

According to reports by the Gua Musang Public Works Department (JKR) and Roadcare (M) Sdn Bhd, the closure wasn implemented to ensure the safety of road users while further action is taken.

Road users are advised to use alternative routes via FT2747, namely Jalan Pulai to Bandar Baharu Gua Musang.

Meanwhile, Gua Musang police chief Supt Sik Choon Foo, when contacted, confirmed the incident and advised road users to comply with instructions from the authorities. — Bernama
