India pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna, with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, are expected to feature in India A’s third and final four-day match against New Zealand A in Lincoln, beginning Saturday, as they prepare for the upcoming two-Test series.

The match will provide the Indian players with another opportunity to acclimatise to the conditions in New Zealand before the first Test gets underway in Wellington on November 19.

Bumrah, who last featured in the Asian Games final on October 3, was rested for the ongoing five-match ODI series as part of workload management, with his preparation focused on red-ball cricket.

Prasidh, meanwhile, is returning from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the ODI series. The pacer last played against the West Indies in Guwahati on September 30 and will look to regain match fitness ahead of the Tests.

Jadeja joins the India A side after featuring in two Ranji Trophy matches for Saurashtra, during which he scored a century and claimed seven wickets.

The veteran all-rounder, who is no longer part of India’s ODI plans, will aim to carry that form into the four-day contest.

Both previous matches between India A and New Zealand A ended in draws, with several Indian batters making an impression.

Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel have been among the consistent run-scorers, while Yashasvi Jaiswal struck an unbeaten 155 in the second match at Hagley Oval.

All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was released from the ODI squad after the opening match, is also expected to feature.

India A will be looking for a stronger start with bat after being dismissed for 113 in the first innings of the series opener before recovering to post 516 in the second innings.

New Zealand A, meanwhile, will be without pacers Simon Keene and Fraser Sheat, who sustained injuries during the earlier matches.
