Napoli forward Giovane believes Tuesday’s Champions League win over Bodø/Glimt can change everything for Massimiliano Allegri’s side, insisting they can beat Roma on Saturday.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Brazilian spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli ahead of the weekend. “In football there’s also a bit of luck,” he said. “When the results don’t come, you ask yourself why the ball isn’t going in, or why you’ve miscontrolled it. That’s normal, that’s football. After Tuesday everything can change. If we win on Saturday, that can change everything.”
Napoli beat Bodø/Glimt 4-3 at the Maradona to claim their first Champions League points, after defeats to Arsenal and Villarreal. The win came just days after a 1-0 loss at Venezia left them ninth in Serie A with 10 points from seven games, their worst start in 17 years.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma arrive at the Maradona in third place, seven points ahead of Napoli.
“Roma are a very strong side with great technical quality,” Giovane said. “But we’re a strong team too, and we hope to put in a good performance for ourselves and our fans. Obviously, we want to win.”
The former Verona forward also spoke about his relationship with Allegri, who has been under growing pressure in recent weeks.
“The coach talks to everyone. Being young, I have to listen to him more, because he has great experience,” Giovane said. “I get on well with him. He wants to help us as footballers and as people, and that’s very important.”
