Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Full list of new signings this season

Translate

Kaizer Chiefs have completed the signing of Bafana Bafana international Elias Mokwana.

The 27-year-old winger becomes Amakhosi’s seventh signing of the season after spending the past two years in North Africa and the Middle East.

Following his departure from Esperance, reports emerged that Mokwana was closing in on a move to the Soweto giants. On Wednesday, Chiefs officially announced the signing of the Bafana Bafana winger.

Which Other Players Have Kaizer Chiefs Signed?

During pre-season, Kaizer Chiefs signed Thabo Moloisane as a free agent after the defender parted ways with Stellenbosch FC. Goalkeeper Renaldo Leaners was the next player to join the Glamour Boys, also on a free transfer.

Amakhosi then strengthened their squad with the signing of Adolf Mtasingwa from Tanzania before completing another major acquisition in Langelihle Phili from Stellenbosch FC.

As part of the same deal, Chiefs also secured the services of Faiz Abrahams on loan.

Khanyisa Mayo, who initially joined Amakhosi on a season-long loan last campaign, was also signed permanently.

With Mokwana’s arrival now confirmed, here is a list of Kaizer Chiefs’ seven new signings:

Thabo Moloisane

Renaldo Leaners

Adolf Mtasingwa

Khanyisa Mayo

Faiz Abrahams

Langelihle Phili

Elias Mokwana

Amakhosi will be back in action this weekend when they take on Siwelele in the Carling Knockout Cup. If Kaizer Chiefs manage to win the match, it will be their first semi-final in four attempts. The Glamour Boys have only won one trophy in 11 years.
