Yung Miami Announces Debut Solo Album Watch Dis

Translate

Two years after City Girls officially split to focus on their respective solo careers, Yung Miami has finally announced the arrival of her debut album, Watch Dis. On Thursday, the rapper shared an appropriately dramatic trailer for the long-teased LP. The clip opens with public criticism she has faced from Joe Budden along with Akademiks—who comments, “You failed at everything in life. The music you made is wack”—before Miami responds, “I don’t know how some days I built the courage to go in the studio to even record. But I remember putting all my emotions, all of that energy, everything that I felt, into this album.”

While we still don’t know the record’s release date, Pitchfork can exclusively reveal the album will span 20 songs and include features from Quavo, G Herbo, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, Shenseea, Vybez Kartel, and more. We’re also debuting the cover art, which you can check out below. Yung Miami will release not one, but two Watch Dis singles at midnight tonight: “2008” and “F U.”

“I could’ve come back with one song and played it safe, but why?” Miami said in a statement to Pitchfork. “I’m confident in what I made. I’m back to pop my shit and I want everybody to watch dis.”

Yung Miami has shared a stream of tracks in 2026, including the chart-topping, song-of-summer contender “Spend Dat.” In 2023 she released RAW with JT, the last album under the City Girls alias. Following the duo’s split, Miami focused on her Careesha Please talk show, which debuted its last season in 2024.
