‘Kaali Kheti’, Indian Horror Starring Jackie Shroff, Sharad Kelkar and Neha Sargam, Sets Indian Release Date

EXCLUSIVE: Jackie Shroff, Sharad Kelkar and Neha Sargam are starring in eerie Indian rural horror Kaali Kheti, which has been given a domestic theatrical release date of October 23.

Above and below you can see a poster for the pic, which has been quietly shooting with Haris Imtiyaz Khan the writer and director. Sana Khan is the producer, with BlackCanvas Studio the production house in association with Zeroland Production.

Virendra Saxena and Shaji Choudhary appear alongside veteran actor Shroff, Kelkar and Sargam.

Per the synopsis, Kaali Kheti is “set against a rural backdrop and explores a world where family, legacy and buried truths come together to create an unsettling tale of fear.” The plot is remaining under wraps with producers keen to keep “audiences guessing about what the film is truly about.”

Director Khan said: “For me Kaali Kheti is about examining agriculture through the lens of horror. Something I hadn’t seen before. Something that felt fresh, exciting and also deeply disturbing. The film is mirror to society, only the reflection exists in a scary and fantastical world. Sometimes this world doesn’t make sense but always feels strangely familiar. Perhaps that is the true horror.”

Produced under the banner of BlackCanvas Studio, the film brings together an ensemble cast led by Jackie Shroff and Sharad Kelkar, with Neha Sargam, Virendra Saxena and Shaji Choudhary in pivotal roles.
