English Open 2026 snooker order of play today (Friday 11 September)
The quarter-final line-up will be locked in at the English Open on Thursday.
This week's tournament comes early in the 2026/27 World Snooker Tour calendar, with the other three Home Nations events – the Northern Ireland Open, Scottish Open, and Welsh Open – still to come in 2026/27.
Mark Allen has withdrawn and will not defend his 2025 title, which he claimed in a victory over Zhou Yuelong in the final last year.
Yuelong takes on compatriot Yuan Sijun in the early afternoon session, which also sees an eye-catching clash between Mark Selby and Kyren Wilson.
World champion Wu Yize and World No.3 Judd Trump will hope to book their place in the quarter-finals later on.
There is some stellar snooker to come over this week as we mark 10 years since the English Open was first held.
