Coptic Orthodox Church congratulates al-Sisi, Armed forces on October victory anniversary

The Coptic Orthodox Church, headed by Pope Tawadros II, congratulated on Sunday, October 4, 2026, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Armed Forces and the Egyptian people on the 53rd anniversary of the October Victories.

In a statement Sunday, the church said the anniversary would remain firmly embedded in the memory of Egyptians, adding that the “spirit of October” would continue to inspire Egyptians from all walks of life to advance their country and confront domestic and external challenges.

The Church reaffirmed its support for all efforts serving the nation and stressed its commitment to contributing to preserving national unity and strengthening social cohesion.

It also expressed confidence in the wisdom of the state leadership, the patriotic commitment of its institutions and their ability to overcome various challenges.

The church prayed for Egypt’s leadership and people, wishing the country continued progress and prosperity.
