Big Brother housemate divides fans after surviving eviction: "I just hope she reins it in a bit"

Big Brother's Pauline may have survived two evictions already this series, but it seems the tide has started to turn on her popularity. As she reveled in her recent victory, audiences were left unimpressed by her "cockiness".

Tonight's episode began with the fallout from Friday's live eviction, in which the public voted to eliminate Chelsey. Having been saved for the second time, Pauline was feeling understandably confident.

In the Diary Room, she showed her disdain for her fellow housemates who had nominated her this week.

"For me, it's the cheek. Then we have the nerve. Then we have the temerity. Closely followed by the audacity, the gall, the gumption," she said. "The balls, the cajones, to come for the camo queen. When you come for the queen, you best not miss."

Pauline's speech left fans divided online and they took to Twitter/X to share their reactions. Some believed her popularity with the public had "gone to her head", while others declared her "hilarious".

"I'd be speaking like Pauline as well. These people scapegoated her, kicked her when she was down, isolated her further… only for the crowd to be cheering and the real villain evicted. She's right to remind herself that she's still got it, they tried to make her forget!" said one, with another agreeing: "IF YOU COME FOR THE CAMO QUEEN, YA BETTER NOT MISS X."

"Pauline is getting a bit too cocky for my liking," a third said, while a fourth warned: "I rate Pauline but she's really starting to get big for her boots, if she's not careful she'll be getting boos on Friday the crowd don't like cockiness."

"Have to say Pauline's cockiness has put me right off her. She can go next," added another, with a sixth writing: "I've really liked Pauline and she's been one of my faves but she's turning a bit cocky I just hope she reins it in a bit."

Elsewhere, tonight's episode also kicked off the new theme of the week as the housemates woke up to "The House of Nothing". They were left without their clothes, food, furniture and other personal items - even having to win back their voices.

During the day, Charlotte decided to voluntarily leave the house, declaring she'd "been pushed to [her] ultimate limit" and had "had enough". Despite taking some to think it over, she chose to go through with her decision and was tearily waved off by her fellow housemates.
