Asian Games 2026, Day 8: Here are all the results and medals won by Indian athletes in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

ARCHERY

Recurve men’s individual qualification: Dhiraj Bommadevara finished 1st with 698, while Neeraj Chauhan was 20th with 676 and Yashdeep Bhoge 25th with 665. Dhiraj’s 698 was a new Asian and national record. India finished 3rd in the team qualification with 2039.

Compound women’s individual qualification: Chikitha Taniparthi finished 1st with 705, Jyothi Surekha Vennam 13th with 699 and Prithika Pradeep 20th with 695. India finished 2nd in the team qualification with 2099.

Recurve women’s individual qualification: Kumkum Mohod finished 10th, Kirti 20th and Ankita Bhakat 25th. India finished 6th in the team qualification.

Compound men’s individual qualification: Sahil Jadhav finished 5th, Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru 14th and Kushal Dalal 16th. India finished 3rd in the team qualification.

Compound mixed team qualification: India finished 1st.

Recurve mixed team qualification: India finished 2nd.

BADMINTON

Men’s singles: Lakshya Sen lost to Singapore’s Loh Kean Yew 12-21, 21-15, 14-21 in the second round and was eliminated.

Women’s singles: Unnati Hooda enters quarterfinal.

Men’s singles: Ayush Shetty eliminated after the third round.

Women’s doubles: Treesa Jolly/Gayatri Gopichand beat Japan’s Mayu Matsumoto/Yuki Fukushima 24-22, 21-18 to enter the quarterfinals.

BOXING

Men’s 55kg, Round of 16: Jadumani Singh Mandengbam lost to Philippines’ Carlo Paalam by split decision and was eliminated.

Men’s 90kg, Round of 16: Kapil Pokhariya beat Iran’s Sam Estaki 5-0 to enter the quarterfinals.

Women’s 60kg, Round of 16: Priya Ghanghas beat South Korea’s Oh Yeonji 5-0 to enter the quarterfinals.

CANOE SPRINT

Men’s K1 500m: Harshwardhan Singh Shaktawat won Final B in 1:52.458 after missing out on Final A.

Mixed C2 500m: Raju Rawat/Neha Devi Leichonbam finished 8th in Final A in 2:00.891.

Mixed K2 500m: Parvathy Geetha/Prasanna Kumar Chempadiyil Sathyaprakash finished 9th in Final A in 1:53.994.

EQUESTRIAN

Dressage individual second qualifier: Hriday Vipul Chheda and Jai Sud progressed to the Individual Final.

Shruti Vora and Gaurav Pundir were eliminated.

ESPORTS

Pokémon UNITE, Group C: India lost 0-2 to Japan.

FENCING

Women’s foil team: Indian lost in quarterfinal.

Men’s sabre team: India lost to South Korea in quarterfinal.

HOCKEY

Men’s Pool A: India beat Japan 2-0.

KABADDI

Women’s final: India beat Iran 37-34 to win gold and retain its Asian Games title.

Men’s final: India beat Iran 40-34 to win gold and retain its Asian Games title.

SHOOTING

Women’s 50m rifle 3 positions team: Ashi Chouksey, Tilottama Sen and Vidarsa K. Vinod won silver.

Women’s 50m rifle 3 positions individual: Tilottama Sen finished 4th, Vidarsa K. Vinod finished fifth, Ashi Chouksey finished 15th. None made it to final.

SQUASH

Mixed doubles semifinal: Joshna Chinappa/Velavan Senthilkumar eliminated (wins bronze).

Women’s singles: Anahat Singh enters the final.

Men’s singles: Abhay Singh advanced to final.
