IBM unveils SAP integration offering for midsize business modernization

  • IBM (IBM) on Wednesday announced IBM Ready for SAP Solutions (SAP), a new offering aimed at helping midsize and fast-growing companies modernize cloud ERP, unify enterprise data, and build an AI-ready digital core.
  • IBM Ready for SAP Solutions is currently available in limited countries and for specific industries. The company plans to continue expanding the availability of the solution globally across additional industries and markets, it said in a statement.
  • Volumetric Building Companies cut operational cycle times by 50% after a three-month SAP Cloud ERP transformation with IBM, while Second Nature Brands integrated its Voortman Bakery business on a unified enterprise platform, the statement said.
  • Shares of IBM (IBM) are still down 25% year-to-date after the stock plunged in mid-July on disappointing preliminary Q2 earnings results, while SAP shares have slipped 13%.
