Man Utd, Spurs seek revival as Tiger Beer hosts Port Harcourt watch party

Translate

Tiger Beer will host a football viewing event at Tapout Bar & Grill, Woji, Port Harcourt, on Saturday as Manchester United face Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League.

The event, scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ahead of the 5:30 p.m. kick-off, will feature live match viewing, music, entertainment, interactive activities and prizes for participating fans.

The gathering is part of the beer brand’s football marketing activities linked to its partnership with Manchester United.

Fans are expected to gather at the venue to watch the match, with activities planned before and during the game.

“We want fans in Port Harcourt to experience football in the true Tiger spirit — together, with energy, excitement and the courage to uncage their Tiger. This is more than watching a match; it is about creating memorable moments with friends while enjoying great entertainment, and giving fans the chance to win exciting prizes,” Tiger Beer Brand Manager Aboyowa Ikpobe said.

The brand’s “Uncage Your Tiger” campaign centres on courage and taking bold steps, while its football activations combine match screenings with entertainment and fan engagement.

Manchester United are 12th on the table with five points from five matches, having recorded one win, two draws and two defeats. Tottenham are bottom with two points from five games, having drawn twice and lost three times.

United will look to take advantage of home support to improve their position, while Tottenham will be seeking their first league victory of the campaign.

The last meeting between the sides at Old Trafford ended in a 2-0 victory for Manchester United on 7 February. Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring before Bruno Fernandes sealed the win, with Tottenham captain Cristian Romero sent off in the first half.

For fans in Port Harcourt, the viewing event will provide an opportunity to follow the match alongside other supporters, with music and prize-winning activities planned at the venue.
