US President Donald Trump criticised NBA superstar LeBron James on Thursday, accusing him of disrespecting the national anthem and demanding an apology for his behaviour before a recent basketball game.
Trump made the remarks in a post on Truth Social, sharing a video that appeared to show James practising golf swings while the American national anthem was being performed.
“While listening to our National Anthem, LeBron James disrespects our Country,” Trump wrote.

The President also demanded that James apologise to American military personnel who had lost their lives serving the country.
The video was reportedly recorded before the Philadelphia 76ers’ season-opening NBA game against the New York Knicks on Tuesday.
