Peacock’s Traitors + more awards = four more seasons!
Peacock has four more seasons of The Traitors US on the way, one that just filmed and will air in 2027, and three more that it just ordered. That will take us through season eight.
If Peacock continues with its start-of-the-year schedule, we’ll have new seasons of The Traitors through 2030, assuming the tech bros don’t kill us all by then.
The streaming service announced the renewal “on the heels of seven Primetime Emmy Award wins,” as The Traitors won all the Emmys this year.
That’s a record seven for a competition series, making it Emmy voters’ new favorite show, a title once held by The Amazing Race, The Voice (I forgot about that unfortunate reign), and then RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The Traitors also set a record by winning the TCA Award for outstanding achievement in reality programming for the third year in a row, a first for the Television Critics Association’s annual awards.
