Giant pandas around the world have been marking their birthdays with special treats, toys and plenty of attention from their keepers.
In Chongqing, China, giant panda Liang Yue celebrated her tenth birthday on September 19 with a festive meal and a selection of gifts prepared by the park.
The birthday treats included a cake, flowers, toys and an ice bed designed to help keep the panda cool.
Liang Yue was also pictured enjoying the celebration alongside her cub, Wang Shu, as the pair tucked into their birthday meal.
Thousands of kilometres away, another birthday celebration was taking place in Madrid, Spain.
At Madrid Zoo, giant panda Jin Xi enjoyed a birthday cake on September 19 as the zoo marked the sixth birthday of the giant panda pair Jin Xi and Zhu Yu.
The celebration brought a festive atmosphere to the zoo as visitors and staff gathered to mark the occasion.
