England won the toss and chose to bat first on a cool London morning, in the third and deciding ODI against Sri Lanka.
England have made three changes to the side that lost by 16 runs in Leeds. Seamer Sonny Baker, spin-bowling allrounder Liam Dawson, and wicketkeeper-batter Jordan Cox come into the XI. Baker returns for his second ODI after claiming the combined figures of 6 for 44 in the three T20Is earlier this month. Spin-bowling allrounder Rehan Ahmed, seamer Josh Tongue, and the injured Jos Buttler make way.
Sri Lanka are unchanged, with Dunith Wellalage and Sachindu Colombage providing the primary spin options, while Asitha Fernando, Eshan Malinga and left-armer Dilshan Madushanka are the quicks.
There is a chance of rain at The Oval as the day wears on. Temperatures are not forecast to climb beyond the low 20-degrees Celsius range.
