CM Punk and Kevin Owens needed two matches to settle things at a WWE house show, and Punk walked away with the win. Their singles match ended in a double countout after the fight spilled outside the ring, but WWE restarted it as a Street Fight and Punk eventually beat Owens. The two are also set to meet in a No Holds Barred match on the taped episode of SmackDown, so the feud is nowhere near finished. Punk and Owens have been going after each other for months, and neither has been able to put the other away.

CM Punk and Kevin Owens Take Their WWE House Show Match Outside the Ring Before the Referee Stops It
The match started as a standard singles bout, but neither man stayed inside for long. They took the brawl to the floor, and the referee reached the end of the count with both still outside.
That made it a double countout, with no winner and the match officially over.
The house show came late in a rivalry that has been building since the summer. Punk beat Owens on the August 21 SmackDown in Toronto to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship, and Sami Zayn interfered in that one.
Owens later cost Punk the title during his defence against Zayn in Mexico City. Then at Money in the Bank on October 10, Owens stopped Punk from retrieving the briefcase in the Men's Ladder Match.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis confirmed their singles match on the October 23 show, after a heated interview segment with both men, and the No Holds Barred stipulation was added a week later on October 30.
WWE Restarts the Contest as a Street Fight Before CM Punk Defeats Kevin Owens
WWE didn't leave the house show match as a no-contest. It was restarted under Street Fight rules, and the pair kept fighting until Punk picked up the victory, which gave him the win in a match that had started with none.
The SmackDown meeting is the bigger of the two. That match was taped on November 2 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, right after Raw, and it airs on November 6 as the go-home episode before Crown Jewel 2026 on Saturday, November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
With the No Holds Barred stipulation, countouts and disqualifications won't come into play this time. Neither Punk nor Owens has been announced for Crown Jewel itself, which makes the SmackDown match their last scheduled meeting before the show.
There is a championship angle too. Both men blame each other for failing to win the Undisputed title, which Zayn holds right now.
The winner of this rivalry is expected to get a title opportunity soon, although both could still end up in the picture. Survivor Series: WarGames comes on November 28 at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas, so more clarity on their direction could arrive before then.
No specific championship match involving either wrestler has been confirmed yet.
