Belgium are leading 1-0 against Italy at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and the Azzurri were booed by the home crowd at half-time.

Roberto Mancini’s second stint as Italy’s head coach has not started as the 61-year-old hoped.

The Olimpico in Rome is far from sold out, with circa 47,000 tickets sold for this match. Thousands of seats are also occupied by kids from the youth sector of local clubs.

Mika Godts gave Belgium the lead in the 20th minute, finalising a quick counter-attack after debutant Alessandro Romano misplaced a pass in central midfield.

Part of the home crowd started booing the Italy players after Belgium’s opener, but chants of support returned around minute 30, after which Italy produced two goal-scoring opportunities with Moise Kean and Romano.
