Gemma Collins tipped to make Big Brother return in coming days following chaotic Jedward stint

Gemma Collins is reportedly in talks to return to the Big Brother house in the form of a celebrity houseguest.

According to reports, the TV personality is in talks to enter the house for a second time, having previously appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.

A source said "Gemma Collins returning to Big Brother is the signing fans could never see coming because her star has ascended far beyond the reality realm in the last decade. She’s just launched her own docuseries on Sky. Gemma’s team are in talks with ITV and everyone is hopeful this gets across the line."

ITV declined to comment when approached by Radio Times.

The rumour follows a turbulent guest stint from Jedward, who entered the series as special house guests, setting the contestants a challenge on arrival. But their visit quickly soured.

The twins criticised housemate Rhianna over her conduct and romance in the house, telling her the series "isn't Love Island".

Rhianna relayed the comments to housemate Lynx, who confronted the twins as they sat in the hot tub.

The exchange escalated into shouting and swearing, with Jedward splashing Lynx with water as other housemates stepped in to separate them.

Following the heated confrontation, viewers were told: "After tonight's events, Big Brother has prepared beds for Jedward to spend the night in Planet Jedward."

The twins then began sharing posts on social media, with one reading: "The entitlement and egos from the Love Island Rejects who have only been on TV for less than two weeks #bbuk."

Big Brother has proved a success for ITV, with the launch episode of the new season reaching a consolidated at 1.4 million viewers.

Launching earlier this month, the series has been streamed 4.9 million times, up 32 per cent from 3.7 million over the same period in 2025.

The second week of Big Brother has also seen increased viewership, with both Sunday's and Monday’s episodes up 10 per cent compared to the same episodes in 2025.

Big Brother: The Group Chat is also up 9 per cent compared to last year's series of Big Brother: Late & Live.
