Siobhan McGroarty, Sophia Reid-Gantzert and West Mulholland Join Prime Video’s ‘Rose Hill’ Adaptation
Prime Video has added five new cast members to Rose Hill, its upcoming adaptation of Elsie Silver’s small-town romance novels.
Siobhan McGroarty, Sophia Reid-Gantzert, West Mulholland, Gigi Zumbado and Curtis Hamilton have joined the series, the streamer announced Thursday. McGroarty joins as Cora; Reid-Gantzert joins as Emmy Belmont; and Mulholland joins as Oliver Belmont. The three roles will be series regulars. Zumbado and Hamilon join in a reoccurring guest capacity, as Tabitha and Bash Rousseau, respectively.
Set in a Canadian mountain town, Rose Hill, based on Silver’s books Wild Love, Wild Eyes, Wild Side and Wild Card, follows the romantic highs and lows of best friends West Belmont and Ford Grant. Jake Weary was previously announced as rancher West while newcomer Sean O’Pry was cast to play record label owner Ford. Hannah Galway joined as West’s sister and Ford’s love interest Rose Belmont. Sadie Dickerson was the final piece of the puzzle, rounding out the main cast as country-pop star Skylar Stone.
The show’s logline reads, “Based on the bestselling series by Elsie Silver, Rose Hill follows best friends and neighbors West Belmont, a rancher with commitment issues, and brooding record label owner Ford Grant, aka Forbes’ ‘world’s hottest billionaire,’ who’s long carried a torch for West’s sister, Rosie. And when country-pop star Skylar Stone breezes into their rugged mountain town, the heat gets turned way up in this romantic family drama.”
Death and Other Details co-creator and co-showrunner Heidi Cole McAdams is set to serve as Rose Hill’s writer, showrunner and executive producer. Marc Webb will direct the pilot and second episode, along with executive producing. Silver executive produces alongside Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman.
