Yes, that’s right! The Kannada film had earned just 9 lakh on its opening day against 60 shows. On Day 16, the film earned 6.75 crore, marking a massive 7400% jump in collections. This is phenomenal growth for a film made on a small budget of 3 crore. The film’s ROI (return on investment) has already crossed 1000%.

What Changed In A Week For Premada Oorali?

Interestingly, Manoj Kumar’s directorial had a tough time leading up to its release. The makers thought that the film would not find its audience and would tank at the box office. Reportedly, with limited funds, the team promoted the film by printing invitation cards resembling wedding invitations. They traveled on buses and distributed them among strangers. This heartfelt attempt by the makers, combined with positive word of mouth in the opening week, led to the film finding its audience. The film’s show count has grown from 60 to 1,229, while collections have risen from 9 lakh to 6.75 crore.

Reportedly, the film is also benefiting from affordable ticket pricing. According to trade sources, the film’s ticket price has not gone above 225 in the 16 days since its release. With positive word of mouth continuing to grow, the film is likely to receive even more love from the audience.
