Tulsa King season 5 confirms Good Girls star cast in major recurring role as new gangster

As Sylvester Stallone crime drama Tulsa King continues to release episodes weekly from its current fourth season, a major casting has been made for the upcoming, already confirmed fifth run of the show.

As was first reported by Deadline, Good Girls and Ironheart star Manny Montana will take on a recurring role in season 5, playing a character called Gilberto Torres.

Torres is described as "a gangster with a strong presence, though he doesn’t have to advertise it". It is said that "through his network in the streets, nothing goes on in New York without him knowing about it".

Season 5 is currently filming in New York, and it has already been revealed that Stallone's daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, will be upped to a series regular as her long-time character, Spencer.

Meanwhile, we also know that Erik Palladino, Glenn Fleshler, Anthony Skordi and Nickola Shreli will be joining the season in new regular roles.

The synopsis for the currently ongoing fourth season of the show says: "Dwight fights to legitimise his empire and protect his crew as corrupt politicians, dangerous new enemies, and a crushing personal loss hit from every direction. However, every hard-won gain comes with even harder truths: about loyalty, leadership, and the cost of ambition.

"Each move drags Dwight deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York – turning Tulsa into a battleground and Dwight into the one threat no one can afford to underestimate."

When the show was first renewed for season 5, Drew Brown, EVP, physical production, Paramount Television Studios said in a statement: "We are thrilled to bring fans even more of this incredible series, and to be shooting the next season of Tulsa King in New York, where Dwight Manfredi’s story will continue to evolve.

"We’re proud of the work we’ve done in Georgia, and it remains an important venue for us."

Meanwhile, Stallone recently told Radio Times that he would like the show to run "at least six seasons" - meaning there could be more on the way beyond the upcoming season 5.
