Kamaljeet will replace Kedarling Balakrishna Uchaganve in India’s 10m air pistol mixed team at the Asian Games 2026, with the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) making the change following Thursday’s men’s qualification event.
Kamaljeet will now partner Suruchi Singh in the mixed team competition on Friday. Kedarling and Suruchi had originally been entered as India’s combination for the event.
The change comes after contrasting performances from the two shooters in the men’s 10m air pistol qualification on Thursday.

Kamaljeet was India’s best-placed shooter, scoring 580 to finish ninth, narrowly missing a place in the eight-man individual final by one point, while Kedarling endured a difficult outing and was placed 35th with 568.
Kamaljeet’s performance, despite missing the individual final by the narrowest of margins, has now earned him a place alongside Suruchi for India’s mixed team challenge.
