It finally happened: Sony’s highest grossing movie ever, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is now the highest grossing movie ever at the domestic box office, defeating Star Wars: The Force Awakens which held the record for the last ten years with a final cume of $936.66M.

As of yesterday, Spider-Man: Brand New Day counts a running cume of $936.7M at the domestic box office. Tuesday’s gross was $915k.

Worldwide, the pic stands at $2.45 billion, and will continue to rank third on the all-time list behind 2009’s Avatar ($2.92B) and Avengers: Endgame ($2.799B). The latter pic is getting a re-release later this month and will likely increase its distance ahead of Brand New Day. Holland starred in Endgame, so it’s his highest grossing movie ever. Brand New Day remains Cretton and Zendaya’s highest grossing movie of all-time.
