A new Pokémon Legends release has been officially revealed by Nintendo, just over a year after the release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The Legends formula has proven to be a successful one, despite some issues with design, which seem to stem from rushed development periods. Several new Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A helped conquer the hearts of players, in addition to the real-time action-based battles for the first time within a core release. There have been rumors about which region will be explored in the next Pokémon Legends game.

Even though there’s nothing new on that front apart from what had already been leaked, the series has just received a brand-new release. According to a new report by RPG Site, Nintendo has officially released the Pokémon Legends: Z-A soundtrack. Available via the Nintendo Music app for iOS and Android devices, players and fans can now listen to the 114 tracks that compose the game’s soundtrack. As seen in the app, these 114 tracks will give you access to 4 hours and 17 minutes of music, all straight from the latest mainline Pokémon game release.

Although the Nintendo Music app for mobile devices is free to download, access to its content is blocked by a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Effectively, this means that you’ll need to be a member of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service to listen to the newly added Pokémon Legends: Z-A soundtrack. If you are a member, however, you can already start enjoying the songs from the game. Players who haven’t completed it, however, should be wary that the cover images for the tracks and the song titles may contain spoilers, though there is a spoiler prevention feature within the app.

As highlighted by RPG Site, the soundtrack does not include the tracks from the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which were featured in the CD version of the full soundtrack. Even though it’s mainly an app for mobile devices, there is a web browser version of Nintendo Music, which enables you to listen to the songs on your PC. Much like on the app, however, you’ll need to be a member of Nintendo Switch Online to gain access to the soundtracks.

In all fairness, this is a minor release when compared to a fully fledged game, though neither Nintendo nor The Pokémon Company have made any announcements yet – and it’s likely going to take a while. For now, efforts are concentrated on the release of Pokémon Winds and Waves in 2027, and though there are rumors of a time-traveling Pokémon Legends sequel after it, taking players to ancient Galar, this has yet to be confirmed by the companies.

For now, the only option fans have is to enjoy the music of the latest games and reminisce about their experiences – or, perhaps, start a new save and experience their journey through Lumiose City again. The new Pokémon Legends: Z-A soundtrack release on Nintendo Music is a pleasant surprise, especially as a freebie for players who are already members of Nintendo Switch Online, so be sure to take advantage of your benefits if you can.
