President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is not affected by the latest drop in his satisfaction rating, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said Friday.
“Kahit bumaba, hindi naaapektuhan ang Pangulo. Tuloy-tuloy ang pagtatrabaho–hindi nagbabakasyon, nagtatrabaho… So again, ang numero ng survey firms hindi po ‘yan makakaapekto sa pagtatrabaho ng Pangulo,” Castro said during a press briefing in Singapore.
(Even with this decline, the President remains unaffected. He continues to work non-stop without taking a break… So again, numbers from any survey firms will not hinder the President's work.)
“Very timely lang kasi ang paglabas nito dahil maraming issue na kinasasangkutan ngayon ang Bise Presidente,”
(The timing of its release is quite notable, coming right as the Vice President faces numerous issues.)
The President's satisfaction rating fell to -11 points, according to a recent survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) and released Thursday.
The survey showed that as of September 2026, 35% of adult Filipinos were satisfied with Marcos’ performance, 20% were undecided, and 46% were dissatisfied.
This produced a net satisfaction score of -11, categorized as “poor” by the polling firm. This is a four-point drop from his -7 “neutral” rating in June.
Nonetheless, this latest score remains higher than Marcos’ record-low rating of -15 recorded in March 2026. —AOL, GMA News
