Serie B club Juve Stabia docked another 2 points after fraud investigation

Serie B side Juve Stabia are in chaos and were docked another two points after patron Alfredo Guerri had €153m seized by the authorities in a fraud investigation.

The team reached the promotion play-offs last season, eliminated in the semi-finals, so were hoping to try again this term.

It won’t be easy, because they were docked two points before the season began due to financial irregularities, and have now seen another two chalked off their tally, leaving them on one point after five rounds.

Juve Stabia struggling in Serie B

Their very future hangs in the balance following the fraud investigation into owner Guerri.

The Naples authorities questioned irregularities in the generation of credits tied to a Superbonus 110% taxation law between 2021 and 2024.

Guerri owned two building companies that allegedly took tax credits for work that wasn’t even done, or at least not completed.

The profits worth €153m were seized as part of the investigation, after €14.5m was seized back in July.

This is only into Guerri and not Juve Stabia as a club, but it is further chaos considering he only took over control of the side two months ago.

It also means that the documents presented in April confirming their financial stability to register for the Serie B 2026/27 season were invalid, hence the new two-point penalty.

A new board of directors had to be named, and today Alfonso Morrone was appointed President.
