Bravo’s ‘In the City’ Renewed for Second Season

Translate

Bravo has officially renewed Summer House spinoff In the City for a second season. The news came on Friday in a batch of renewals. The unscripted series is currently in production, and the renewal comes after fans spotted castmembers such as Lindsay Hubbard and Gavin Moseley filming in New York City.

Bravo hasn’t officially announced who on the cast is returning.

There is a longline: “In The City follows a group of New Yorkers as they navigate the biggest transitions of their lives — marriage, separation, parenthood, reinvention and the reality of growing up without growing apart.”

In the City, which launched in May, films in the fall soon after Summer House wraps production over Labor Day weekend. In the City’s cast includes a crossover with Summer House and Winter House castmembers Hubbard, Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, Danielle Olivera and Andrea Denver. Additional season one featured Eoin Heavey, Lexi Sundin, Nick Barber, Yvonne Najor, Georgina Ferzil, Whitney Fransway, Kenny Martin and Moseley.

Season one gave audiences a closer look into Amanda and Kyle’s marriage crumbling before the pair announced their split in January after 10 years together and four years of marriage.

The big question lingering over In the City season two was whether Amanda would be included following the scandal earlier this year involving her and former Summer House castmember West Wilson announcing they were dating, causing drama with the cast given Amanda was close friends with Ciara Miller who used to date West and West was friends with Kyle. There’s also confusion about when Amanda and West’s romance really began, since Amanda and Kyle had recently separated when they announced their relationship.

Speaking with THR after the In the City reunion part two, Bravo’s vp of current production Josh Brown said he was “optimistic” that the series would get a second season. But when it came to whether Amanda would return, at the time, it hadn’t spoken to her yet about that possibility, saying, “We are so appreciative of everything she’s done so far, and we really care about her. But it’s just too early to be having any talks like that.”

In The City is produced by Truly Original (a Banijay America company) with Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Lauren Eskelin, Jamie Jakimo, Nathan Palmer, Faith Gaskins and Maggie Langtry serving as executive producers for season two.
