Official: Drobnic has successful surgery after freak Parma injury

Parma have announced that defender Dominik Drobnic has undergone successful surgery after sustaining a fracture during the 2-1 Serie A win over Genoa.
The freak occurrence happened in the 2-1 home victory at the weekend, when he had fallen to the ground and an opponent accidentally trod on his arm.
He was able to continue with the arm strapped up, but tests showed a fracture to the scaphoid in his left wrist.
Drobnic surgery to reduce fracture
The surgery was performed by Professor Norman Della Rosa at the Policlinico di Modena, accompanied by members of the Parma medical staff.
Drobnic will be make the most of the break for international duty to make a full recovery and ought to be available for selection once the Serie A season resumes.
