Queens of the Stone Age have unveiled “Run Away from the Mob” as the latest single from their upcoming album, Perfecth, which arrives this Friday via Matador Records.

The song is a stripped-down track that remains mellow until the 2:45 mark, when the drums and guitars get loud for the final minute of the tune.

“It’s a letter,” explains frontman Josh Homme of the song’s lyrics. “A last one, addressed to an oldest son — ‘if you’re reading this, everything went wrong, and here’s what you have to do’. The end is the sound of a father standing behind his son.”

“Run Away from the Mob” follows previous singles “Where the Goth Girls At?,” “Insignificant Other,” and “Easy Street.”

The new single comes roughly a week after QOTSA announced a Spring 2027 North American tour with support from Pixies and Wheelchair Sports Camp. A pre-sale is underway, with a general on-sale starting Thursday, October 29th, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Tickets can also be found via Vivid Seats (use code COS20 for $20 off your first order of $200 or more).

Stream the lyric video for “Run Away from the Mob” below, and pre-order Perfecth via Amazon.
