KOTA BARU: The Attorney-General's Chambers (A-GC) did not intervene in the decision to return Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain to the police force from his secondment as director-general of the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA).

Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar said the matter was an administrative decision by the relevant ministry.

He said the A-GC's role was limited to providing legal opinions.

"However, so far, we have not given any official opinion to the relevant parties as the matter has not been referred to the Attorney-General's Chambers," he said after the handover of recreational facilities under the Attorney-General's Chambers' Kampung Angkat Madani programme in Kampung Kok Lanas today.
