Great start to the session for Australia A! Jason Sangha is bowling his leg-breaks and he induced Shaikh Rasheed to chip a return catch back for a duck! He tumbles to take a good diving catch that leaves him in some pain, but he has a crucial breakthrough.
Yash Rathod takes his place at the crease. He gets off the mark with a single to cover.

Aaand we’re back! India A resumes the session on 93 for two, with captain Devdutt Padikkal batting on 31 joined by Shaik Rasheed.
Todd Murphy will resume his over to start the session.

1st session report
Another dominant session for India A, albeit one that was bookended by wickets. Aman Mokhade was done in leg before by Brendan Doggett early in the session, but Devdutt Padikkal and B. Sai Sudharsan batted through most of the session largely unchallenged in a half-century partnership.
Sai fell at the stroke of the Lunch session after missing a sweep against Todd Murphy, but Padikkal will return after the break with a new batting partner.

Breakthrough for Australia A on the stroke of Lunch! Sai Sudharsan tries to sweep and misses out, he’s nailed in front of the stumps and up goes the finger! He takes a review, but there’s no rescuing him, he departs for 39!

Australia not getting as much venom off the surface as Shams Mulani did late on day two. There is the odd ball that misbehaved but not consistent enough. As comms are suggesting, it could be the little extra speed that is hampering the Aussie tweakers.

Big appeal for caught behind first ball after drinks off Todd Murphy! Some sharp turn and bounce, but Josh Phillippe indicates that it might have come off the shoulder and replays show he is correct. Sai Sudharsan responds by sweeping hard and into the gap for four to bring up India A’s 50!

Gone! First one down, and it’s Aman Mokhade who has to go! Very similar to his first innings dismissal, done in by one moving in towards the stumps. This one from Doggett beats his inside edge and traps him on the knee roll. Up goes the umpire’s finger, and he’s on his way!

Couple of delightful shots in Fergus O’Neill’s latest over. First, Sai Sudharsan gets forward to an overpitched delivery and presents the full face to send it back down the ground for four. The keeper then comes up for Mokhade, who replies by punching through covers for three.

Sai gets forward to a full delivery from Doggett and leans on it for three to get off the mark in lovely style. He has started in a busy fashion, and clips away O’Neill for two more. Awful ball to end the over, short and wide, and Mokhade cracks it away for four.
With cracks in the pitch visibly opening up, you’d imagine it won’t be long till the spinners come on.

Before the game, players expected the wicket to start breaking up from day three, with the sun out, it should happen rapidly.Fergus O’Neill shares the new ball and concedes the first runs of the day with a hooping inswinger that runs away for four byes down leg. Mokhade then gets off the mark with a single to leg.
