EastEnders star Bobby Brazier lands new Christmas role alongside Mariah Carey

Almost a year after leaving EastEnders, Bobby Brazier has landed an exciting role alongside a household name.
The actor, who played Freddie Slater on the soap, made his last appearance on Albert Square in December 2025. He made his debut as the character in 2022.
With the festive period on the horizon, Brazier is back on screen in a different capacity. He features in a new Gucci advert, promoting the luxury fashion brand's Christmas campaign.

The video stars none other than music legend Mariah Carey, who has become a global icon for the festive season, due to her classic 1994 track ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’.
In the clip, Carey was seen arriving at a hotel as the staff worked frantically to ensure the building looked festive before she entered.
Carey then used a lift to reach the 14th floor, where she entered a room filled with decorations and people embodying the festive spirit, as they socialised with one another.
Brazier was one of those in the room. He wore a chic black suit and tie with a flowery lapel, and was all smiles as he conversed with those around him.
Carey beamed with happiness as she greeted those in the space. The commercial ended with the US artist singing along to her famous Christmas hit, which played throughout the video.
Brazier enjoyed a successful three-year stint in EastEnders, during which he won a Rising Star National Television Award in 2023.
Discussing his exit from the serial drama with The Sun at the 2025 NTAs, Brazier said: “Since it was confirmed, the last three months I’ve been there, I really enjoyed it.

“I enjoyed it more the last three months than I had done previously. I’ve been lucky. I don’t know if I can call it an achievement because I’ve relied on so many other people. It’s been nice.”
In 2024, Brazier made his streaming debut when he featured in Paramount+ crime drama Curfew, playing a schoolboy called James.
His performances earned him the honour of Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series at the 2025 National Film Awards UK.
