Patriots place WR A.J. Brown on IR, officially sign DT DaQuan Jones
The Patriots made official the signing of veteran defensive tackle DaQuan Jones. To get him on the roster, the Patriots needed to open a spot.
New England did that by placing wide receiver A.J. Brown on injured reserve.

Brown, who has a high-ankle sprain, will not be eligible to return until missing at least four games. He will not play against the Steelers, Jaguars, Bills and Raiders.
Brown caught three passes for 26 yards and drew a 34-yard pass interference penalty that set up the team's lone touchdown in the loss to the Seahawks.
Veteran Mack Hollins and second-year WR Kyle Williams are the next players up at the X receiver spot.
