SS Rajamouli jokes Prabhas is too lazy to get married

The wedding season in India primarily begins in November and it also creates buzz around unmarried celebrities with fans speculating when they will be tying the knot. Throwback to the time in 2018 when director SS Rajamouli once offered a humorous explanation for why the ‘Baahubali’ star had not got married.

SS Rajamouli’s funny take on Prabhas’ marriage

During an appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 6 alongside Rajamouli and Rana Daggubati, Prabhas was asked about his unmarried status. The filmmaker described him as “very shy and introverted” and jokingly suggested that he was too lazy to get married.SS Rajamouli explained that finding a girl and then approaching her parents would involve too much effort for Prabhas.“That's why he isn't getting married,” the RRR director remarked, leaving the conversation with a humorous take on the actor’s personal life.Prabhas, meanwhile, has admitted that meeting people does not come easily to him.

Prabhas’ next film ‘Fauzi’

Prabhas will next be seen in the upcoming period action thriller ‘Fauzi’, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Set in the 1930s and 1940s, the film follows an Indian spy who helps the Indian National Army during the freedom struggle. The film features Imanvi Esmail, who is making her acting debut, alongside Sajjad Delafrooz, Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada.

The makers initially planned to release ‘Fauzi’ on December 3, 2026. However, the film has now been postponed and is scheduled to arrive in theatres on March 19, 2027.Apart from Fauzi, Prabhas has ‘Spirit’ and ‘Salaar 2’ in his upcoming lineup. He is also preparing for ‘Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2’.

SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film ‘Varanasi’ with Mahesh Babu

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli is busy with his next mega project, ‘Varanasi’, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. The film is set to be a globetrotter action thriller set to release on April 7, 2027.
