Coach Jackie J Signs With UTA (Exclusive)

Translate

Sports-centric social media personality Jackie Johnston, also known as Coach Jackie J, has signed with United Talent Agency for representation.

The signing follows Coach Jackie J launching her own women’s sports-focused podcast, Is She Game?, from Reign and Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground. She will look to UTA to expand business opportunities in digital and sports media, podcasting, brand partnerships and secure onscreen roles in film and TV.

Leveraging her 1.5 million social media followers across Instagram and TikTok, Coach Jackie J every Friday releases a new Is She Game? podcast, with the first episode having premiered Oct. 9 and featuring an interview with Billie Jean King.

The digital creator, with a target audience of women in sports and the LGBTQ+ community, first rose to prominence with her coverage of the 2023 March Madness and Women’s World Cup. Coach Jackie J has since become a voice at the intersection of sports and entertainment for everything from reality TV to lesbian pop culture.

“Through her sharp analysis, humor, and relentless advocacy, she has built a passionate, fast-growing community across social media, championing women’s athletics and LGBTQ+ representation in sports,” UTA said as it signed the digital creator.

The new representation for the women’s sports content creator also follows UTA bolstering its leadership in its UTA Creators division to get digital content makers into new lines of businesses. UTA launched its digital talent representation group in 2006 and is a leader in the space.

Recent signings include Slushy Noobz, Al Nash, lifestyle creators Britney De Villiers and Daniella Stockley aka DaniBabes, Nimi Mehta and entrepreneurship-focused Grace Andrews and Tara Keeney.

In addition to UTA, Johnston continues to be managed by Curate Management.
