Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed concern over the possibility of failing to win the upcoming election during an interview with Radio North on Sunday.

"We need to make sure we win. I am not certain of my victory, and I am very worried," he said.

Netanyahu also addressed the possibility that he might fail to form the next government. Asked whether he would retire from politics if he lost, Netanyahu replied, "No, I will not retire from politics."

Netanyahu also criticized his political rivals, including Gadi Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett, and Avigdor Liberman, claiming that a government led by them would depend on the support of Arab parties.

"I want to emphasize that Gadi Eisenkot cannot form a government without Mansour Abbas and Ahmad Tibi, even according to their inflated numbers. They need both of them to reach 61 seats," he said. "If you want a government of surrender and paralysis, a government that cannot act against Israel's enemies in the north, vote for Gadi Eisenkot."

He also said that Eisenkot wouldn't do anything to address the threat of Iran acquiring a nuclear weapon, claiming that he had said that "a nuclear Iran must be accommodated" and that "attacking Khamenei was a mistake."

Eisenkot, Netanyahu claimed, had no influence in the United States either.

"Will Eisenkot exert influence there in America? Will he activate the forces? Does he understand anything at all? A prime minister in Israel must be an actor on the world stage, and must know that there is no compromise in the face of an existential threat. It's not Gadi or the people around him; it's a misrepresentation."

Netanyahu accuses Ronen Bar of lying in defamation lawsuit

Later in the interview, Netanyahu addressed the defamation lawsuit filed against him by former Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) chief Ronen Bar, rejecting Bar's allegations and accusing him of lying.

"I submitted nearly 1,000 documents to the State Comptroller, including several that are available online, and it’s all there. You can see that, throughout this entire period, including just two days before the massacre, this man issued a summary and recommended pursuing either a short-term arrangement of security calm in exchange for benefits or a long-term arrangement of security calm in exchange for benefits. He has been lying every step of the way.”
