Udta Teer Trailer Review: Ayushmann Khurrana Starrer Promises An India-Pakistan Story With No Chest-Thumping, Just LOL Moments, Chaos, Action & Heart
The year began with Dhurandhar 2, where we saw an Indian spy living in Pakistan, unsuspectingly working for India. And now, get ready to watch what happens when a Pakistani spy gets into India. That is what Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment’s next film, Udta Teer, is all about. I mean, of course, there is more to it! Unlike Dhurandhar’s intense tone, Udta Teer promises to be fun and breezy, packed with laughter.
Ayushmann Khurrana plays a confident Pakistani spy who is sent to India on a mission. He is shown to be one of their best, a very capable man and an extremely patriotic one. However, an incident in India caused him to lose his memory. In his life’s 2.0, someone makes him believe that he is an Indian whose parents were murdered by Pakistani terrorists. He remains very patriotic. But there is just one small error: he forgot which country he belongs to. And now he is convinced that India is his country and that he has to serve it.
Udta Teer has quite a unique concept and blends comic elements with very interesting characters; both sides of the border. The trailer gives us a glimpse of the kind of chaos that ensues when a leading spy forgets his true nationality. It is definitely a seriously unserious film, seemingly with a strong screenplay. It also has interesting characters played by actors like Gulshan Grover, Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Mukul Dev, and many more.

The trailer promises situational humor while addressing much-discussed topics like Ozempic and nepotism. While the India-Pakistan genre has been explored often in Hindi cinema, Udta Teer promises to adopt a lighter tone.
I am already curious about what Sara Ali Khan does in the film. Her character comes across as a mystery, as she seemingly manipulates Ayushmann into believing he is Indian and has dedicated his life to working for the Counter Terrorism Squad. While the trailer promises fun and chaos, I cannot wait to see how it culminates and whether Ayushmann’s character ever remembers his true identity, even as his fellow Pakistani mates try to remind him of his past.
