Iroegbunam: Hull City Can Upset Arsenal At Emirates

Translate

Tim Iroegbunam believes Hull City have what it takes to secure a shock away victory against Premier League champions Arsenal when the two sides meet at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Sergej Jakirovic’s men will head into the encounter with confidence following some encouraging performances this season.

The Tigers have already demonstrated their ability to compete against top-flight opposition, holding Chelsea to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge earlier in the campaign.

Hull City were also involved in another entertaining contest in their last outing, playing out a 2-2 draw against Ipswich Town.

Iroegbunam was among the goalscorers, finding the net in the keenly contested encounter.

The midfielder is now backing his teammates to produce another impressive performance against Arsenal and believes an upset is within their reach.

Iroegbunam Targets Arsenal Upset

Iroegbunam acknowledged that Arsenal will be favourites heading into the contest but insisted Hull City would not travel to north London simply to make up the numbers.

“That’s one of those games where they’re expected to win almost, so we’ll just give it our all,” Iroegbunam told Hull Live.

“It’s not like it hasn’t been done before; like they haven’t been beaten, it’s possible. We’ll give it our all, and we’ll see what happens.”

Hull City Refuse To Rule Out Emirates Victory

The Hull City midfielder also pointed to the unpredictable nature of the Premier League, insisting that any team is capable of taking points off the division’s strongest sides.

“We know they’re a good side, but in the Premier League, anyone can beat anyone. We’ll go into the game looking to win, as we do with every game, and whatever happens will happen,” he added.
