Private company Flo Health announced a multi-year partnership with Google Health (GOOG) (GOOGL), alongside a strategic investment from Google Health, to develop more personalized women’s health tools that run across first periods, pregnancy, and perimenopause. Flo Health noted that it has surpassed 500M downloads and serves more than 80M women monthly. Beginning in early 2027, users will be able to voluntarily sync Flo with Google Health for more comprehensive insights and guidance tailored to their menstrual cycles and life stages.

The integration will bring Fitbit measurements such as sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, and respiratory rate into Flo to enrich cycle predictions and symptom insights. Flo's insights will also inform personalized coaching in Google Health, where Flo will become the featured premier women’s health partner. The companies additionally plan co-branded products combining Flo’s algorithms and women’s health expertise with Google’s wearable hardware and sensors.

The companies noted that privacy and user control are central to the arrangement. Sharing will require explicit permission for each data type and purpose, and users can withdraw consent at any time. A joint research program will explore AI that better understands how hormonal changes affect sleep, heart rate, mood, and energy. Research goals include recognizing early signs of perimenopause and symptom patterns associated with PCOS, endometriosis, and fibroids, while developing standards for evaluating AI-generated women’s health guidance.

"Women have waited too long for technology that understands their bodies as well as it understands their steps. A.I. is about to change what is possible in women's health - but only if it's built with women in mind, not adapted for them afterward," noted Dmitry Gurski, co-founder and CEO of Flo Health.
