"Stunning" drama P-Valley finally confirms release date for long-awaited season 3

P-Valley is coming back for a third season. Created by Katori Hall, the drama series is based on her play titled Pussy Valley and follows four women working at a strip club named The Pynk in the fictional town of Chucalissa in the Mississippi Delta.
The first season, which premiered on STARZ in July 2020, received 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, with the critics' consensus calling it a "stunning, lyrical piece of neon noir".
Following that success, two years later, the second season arrived, and later in the year, it was announced that P-Valley had been renewed for a third - and last - season.

To kickstart the upcoming season, two episodes, which were directed by Hall, will premiere on Starz on 4 December, with subsequent episodes being released on Fridays on the STARZ app.
The teaser trailer shows the long-awaited Promised Land Casino looming over Chucalissa, which threatens the town's residents and The Pynk group as they reckon with what this means for their beloved home.
In a letter to fans, Hall reflected on the creation of P-Valley, which she wrote back in 2009, calling it her "rumination on 'The American Dream'.
"Adapting my play into three seasons of television over the past decade has been the ride of a lifetime, filled with massive highs and lows that echo the ever-changing TV landscape," she added.
"Much like The Pynk, this series has survived and thrived in perilous times, buoyed by the love and support of the greatest fanbase on EARF."

Calling P-Valley her "finest work", Hall continued: "We never did it for the trophies, we did it for YOU—y’all who stood ten toes down as we tried to fall into the sky. Thank you, Pynk Posse. YOU are why we fly. May this last dance go down in history as our greatest season ever."
The third season will also see the return of several characters, including Uncle Clifford (Nicco Annan), Mercedes Woodbine (Brandee Evans), Keyshawn Harris (Shannon Thornton) and Lil’ Murda (J. Alphonse Nicholson).
However, Elarica Johnson (Hailey Colton) sadly won't be returning for season 3, with the actor confirming her exit in 2022.
Season one and two of P-Valley are available to stream on STARZ. Season one is also available for streaming via Prime Video through MGM+ subscription channel.
