Murdered Celebrity Traitors star reveals what her "emotional" banishment speech would have been

The latest episode of The Celebrity Traitors saw Miranda Hart become the latest video of Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny, as they decided she was the best choice to murder.
That means she was robbed of the chance to stand up at the Round Table and reveal that her fellow Faithful had been duped yet again (as well as the chance of winning).

While some people might wing their goodbye speech when they get banished at the Round Table, Miranda knew exactly what she was going to say.
Speaking after her exit from Ardross Castle, Miranda said: "I think it's a good thing that I wasn't banished because my speech would have ended up being emotional and mushy.
"I would have told them how precious the connection and the joy and playfulness had meant after years of not being able to experience that, knowing that they are the most important things in life. And then no doubt the floodgates would have opened.
"I also would have tried to extend the reveal of what I was an absurdly long time. Anything for some more airtime!"

Reflecting on her Traitors experience overall, Miranda added that her proudest achievement was "just getting there and being part of it full stop.
"I have missed doing television so much and it has been a very hard road to get to a place after restricting long-term illness to be fit enough to do something again."
Miranda also stated that during her time on the show, the game became so all-consuming that she was having dreams about it.
"One night I dreamt that I married Michael Sheen, so that was fun!" she joked.
The Celebrity Traitors continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
