Star Trek Officially Unveils The Return Of Spock In Online: Rediscovered

There's no doubt that Star Trek is one of the most iconic franchises of all time in any genre, let alone sci-fi. A big part of that is the memorable cast of characters that continues consistently from the Original Series onwards, as well as the wider world that has developed since Gene Roddenberry's original creation.
Of all those characters, it's a fairly safe bet that most longtime fans of Star Trek would put Spock at the very top of the tree. The half-Vulcan, half-Human hybrid appears in many of the adaptations we have seen to date, and his actions have significant consequences in everything from the first run of the show to the big-budget JJ Abrams movie adaptations.
Now, he's set to return once again, and in one of the franchise's longest running and most successful adaptations.
Over on Twitter/X, the official page for the ever popular MMO Star Trek Online shared a post confirming the release of an upcoming bundle that existing players will almost certainly be interested in. Included as part of that are two versions of Spock, including arguably his most iconic aesthetic to date.
In sharing exactly what fans can expect from the new drop, the developer confirmed the following insight:
"The Gorn got the very first mini-bundle, but this time, the bundle is out… to destroy them! The Rediscovered Mini-Bundle is releasing on PC this Tuesday, September 22nd, with the launch of Star Trek Online: Rediscovered. It will cost 500 Zen. Everything in this bundle, except the Ultimate Tech Upgrades, is unlocked for your entire account and fully reclaimable. Also, this bundle will be part of the new Gifting Feature, so you can buy it for your friends!"
The offering included in the bundle is genuinely quite broad, and it looks like a great option if you're looking for new choices across several of the game's major facets. The full list of included items is as follows:

As mentioned earlier, the bundle released this week, and it's available to purchase for all players at the time of writing. There has been no word from the developer just yet on whether it will be removed at some point, so best to pick it up quickly if you do want to get in on the fun.
The other thing that Star Trek fans have to look forward to is the upcoming Paramount movie release, written and directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. Taking place further in the future than any series to date, the only sad news is that a release isn't expected until 2028.
