F1 2027 calendar announced — Monaco to host one of 10 sprints; Portugal, Turkey races added

Formula 1 and the FIA have announced the schedule for the upcoming 2027 season featuring 24 Grands Prix across 22 countries and 10 Sprint events.

A record 10 sprints will be held through the season, up from six this year. Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Monaco, and Abu Dhabi will host Sprint events for the first time, joining Montréal, Silverstone, Monza, São Paulo, and Lusail from this year.

Pre-season testing will take place in Bahrain between February 24–27 before the Championship returns there for the first race followed by Saudi Arabia.

The final two races of the season will take place in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

There is no asterisk next to the four races in West Asia but they will remain uncertain for as long as the current conflict ‌in ⁠the region continues.

Among major changes in the calendar, Portugal (June 20) and Turkey (October 3) have been added with the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort and Barcelona dropping off.
